how to shoot your kids

I really, really wish I was a better photographer. My friend Victoria (sfgirlbybay) can make a basic digi cam look like an expensive piece of equipment. I'm always bugging her with the 'how do you do that"s. Thank goodness for this book. It has really helped me with photographing my children over the years. Elgort, the well known fashion photographer, brings us years of his own personal family photos. Although there really isn't any talk of f-stops and shutter speeds, it does give you the Basics: get close, study the light and use lots of film (or these days- just shoot a lot). As with any art, it's a great way to study something well done to get ideas and inspiration. You can get it used on amazon for 6 dollars. what do you have to lose!
