sea bags

Now that beach season is officially 'on', it's time to break out your newest, bestest beach bag. A bag to tote all of your beach needs: back issues of the new yorker, gossip magazines, sunscreen, snacks, water etc. enter 'sea bags' . Here's a number that's a bit cooler than your basic l.l. bean bag. the bags (like most sails) are white or off white dacron with a graphic, colored design on them. each tote has rope handles with a nautical, splicing ( a nautical skill- i'm told) I think these are fantastic and would work well as a summer, casual day-time bag. the question is, which one?? these bags come in small, medium and large. the lovely graphic aesthetic makes it so hard to choose! i'm thinking, a large number 8 bag for myself. "Every bag we make has sailed around the world before it even leaves our shop, and we like that."where do they get these used sails? old salty dogs can donate their retired sails and receive a free bag OR donate the dollar amount to a sailing program for underprivileged kids. If you're in portland, maine, stop by there shop at --24 custom house wharf (in the old wharf) or give them a call at 1-888-210-4244. but the easiest way would be to click here--where you can see the entire collection and place your order at once!
