what is with this trend? when i have something black, on, or around my nail area, it's time to wash my hands.
is it just me? are all of you rushing out to get this 'hand of death' look? me, i'm sticking with ballet slipper pink.

let's agree this is wrong in every way
the other day decorno did a posting ( i even ripped off the post title) on the french manicure and the slutty stripper quality that it brings to suburbanites everywhere. well now, i give you this to gag on.

If nails turn black, haven't they been injured or something awful and don't they fall off soon after???

Isn't Decorno hysterical? I loved that title! Even though I still kind of like french manicures, but I guess not pedicures. I'm so overdue for both!!! god, I'm lazy.

I'm definitely for clear or pale pink. I have really small hands and feet so bright/dark colours just look weird if you ask me. Black nail varnish just reminds me of too many whiny emo-people I try to avoid!

Hey! I totally resemble the French manicured suburbanite. If I didn't bite my nails clean off without it, I'd do it without the acrylic. But more's the pity for me.

A while ago Chanel reissued Vamp and some inky black color, and I was hot on the trend, but I think I really just liked the IDEA of it more than anything. When you see it on your own hands, you really just look more like the bored rocker-slut in the back row of detention who stole the teacher's Sharpie and went to town on her nails in some sort of angry DIY manicure.
Nude and buffed or Ballet Slippers only.
it's not cute. the french manicure i'm ok with actually. but only on the hands. i, personally, only think of porn stars when i see nails, thick with acrylic and long with a french manicure. that's just me though. and maybe some of you secretly like that comparison.
however, the black nails just remind me of angry kids in high school. like, decorno said, who colored their nails with a sharpie.

Megan, it's clear from the photo on the bottom of your blog that you are smokin' hot. If I looked so good, I would use that photo as my blog BANNER and not relegate it to the bottom of the page. :) I am not sure what Anon means by his/her lame post, but, you know, whatevs.

oh i do love vamp. but only in the winter. vamp and a good blue red. but only on short nails and only for fancy stuff. and it should never be chipped. phew. i'm so particular for someone with match stick nails.

In my line of work, I must have attractive and strong nails! Serving drinks and bending wire requires it.
