Hi! I love your blog and have just found it. I was telling my husband about your description of a zebra making a chirping noise and we found it fascinating! Then the kids were laughing and my husband said, maybe you were thinking of a 'zebra finch' so I couldn't help it, but looked it up. I found a site that said zebra's make a donkey-like noise. Now I am truly obsessed with the zebra as I had never really thought about them much! They are amazing!!

i don't know when i first heard about their 'voice' but it's always stuck with me. it's also been described as a high pitched 'bark'!
and i know, i remember way too much minutiae that no one needs to fill their brain with.it's one of my trade-marks. junk yard brain.
