when lambs aren't eating ivy

A great element in a modern or a traditionally vibed space.
Ikea makes a great one, for around $19.00 {if you can ever find it in stock} and I'm sure someone out there will be quick to send me a link to something a little more animal friendly.
my apologies for not giving full credit for some of the images. If you know the source or the photographer of images, feel free to email me and I'll add them.

I'd adore this post for the title alone, but that Hampton-y looking house is terrif.

I used to put one on the end of my bed during cold Los Angeles winters (which seems hardly cold to me now...) but it would keep my feet warm and my dog loved to curl up on it.

Love this post, love your blog!
Great interiors!!!
Sorry, no animal-less version that I know of, but I know Ikea is now making a bigger one as well... Last w-e I went to see a friend of mine who has one, and her 1 year old, was throwing herself on it, rolling, laughing, wrapping herself in it. There is something special about these sheep skins...

I love the 3rd picture down, I have those chairs and covering them like that would make them so much more comfortable- love it!
Oh the poor little lambykins!

We had one, and when our oldest was a little tiny 4 month old we got the cutest pics of him and his bare little bum lying on the sheepskin.

We have one from a trip my husband took to Austraila when he was 18. The kids still love patting it - I really should pull it out of the toy room and "decorate" with it!

What lovely images. Many of them look like they could be from Scandinavian homes. The white walls, white floors, white furnishing, sheep skins all point to it, but the gateleg table and crystal chandeliers are what convince me.

Thanks for sharing!

Oh I thought I had posted a comment here last night but I don't see it so her goes again....I think many of these images have a distinctly Scandinavian look. The white walls, light/white floors, airy placement of furnishing, sheep skin throws are hallmarks. But the icing is the crystal chandeleirs, the antique gateleg table. Each is so beautiful for different reasons. Thanks for the post.

I agree - I've got one but would like at least one more. I love them on chairs. This is a great roundup. I especially love the third one.
