The Designer Tag Sale, held this weekend at the Venice beach home of entrepreneur Amy Swift was crazy delicious.
wow. seriously, I don't want to sound like a gloater, but, wow. This sale was spectacular. In all honesty, I thought that I'd be able to pick up a small tschoske or incidental that would fit my budget, certainly not furniture and great vintage bar ware.
I wanted to come and support these amazing designers and their efforts, so I went with my little handful of dollars ....and left with a car full of great finds . Check out some of the photos from the morning:
designer, Krista Ewart's booth {where I spent much of my time and money}
recognize that headboard? {domino june/july '07}
I bought this set of 'Malachite' glassware. so very, "Mad Men" ish, eh?
Dapper as ever, Ron Woodson of the super fabulous, Woodson Rummerfield design house.
looking chic as eva', Miss de Vargas, mans her booth
I regret that I didn't buy that egret {or whatever it is}- designer Amanda Malson clutches dearly to her new purchase.
beautiful textiles at this booth...
our hostesses Vanessa De Vargas and Vanessa Kogevinas bade farewell!
My new purchases {two coffee tables and the gold rope coat tree} setteling in nicely in there new home {thanks Krista!} We just added a little swank factor to the little bungalow!
btw, the sale keeps on going today until 4pm.- 2500 Garfield, Venice.

Megan, these pictures are awesome! It looks like an incredible sale. That headboard is to die and I love your new glasses. Your little tables are pretty great, too.
okay, I'm really jealous! Enlarged the photos and the sale looks amazing. Are some of those vintage pieces? Even the price tags were really reasonable. Did you buy the coffee table? Cute!

Impressive stuff!!! Love the Domino headboard, and your tables look like a great purchase. It's the kinda place I'd want to go back to again, because I'd keep ruminating about the other great finds I might have left behind!!!

megan! so funny...i saw you there, but was so overwhelmed with bargains & working my way through the crowd that i didn't introduce myself, but i made your pictures. i'm the one in the pink shirt & brown hair...deep in thought of what i can buy without my husband divorcing me. you got great finds that i don't even remember seeing...the coat rack is beautiful! i bought pillows & more pillows + fabric to make pillows. i think my husband has filed the paperwork. ;)

the one thing i was bummed about is that i got there w/in the first 30 people (hooray!), but i accidentally grabbed only the west elm/pottery barn insert inside the reusable gift bag & didn't realize it until i was already home. so i basically only got a bunch of catalogs i already have received. :( did you get there in time to get one? if so, can you thoroughly depress me by telling me the contents? i'll try not to slit my wrists.

thanks,
christine

Love those tables and they look like they are in mint condition, too!! I see that a huge crowd turned out for the sale--no wonder the "egret" was clasped so tightly. Great photos.

Yeaah. Sadly, the tag sales we passed this weekend resembled those that might be throw by the laides in your next post's photo for the skirted round table. I am still scared and writing to you from my (stylish) closet.

The porcelain head. Did you buy the head? If you did, I'm going to make a special trip to your house, knock you out and steal the head. And you'll never find us.

anne, did not buy the 'lady head' but I bet you can get one on ebay. I know what to send you for your next birthday.

anon, the walls were a custom color. but the closest Benjamin Moore color is called 'Antiguan Sky'
Yes, truly, what color are your walls. I love it!
