Confused here—the tree set up in the Blue Room is definitely real, as all news reports have shown it being cut down and loaded up for delivery.

Check out natural home magazine's website, both The White House and the Blair House used live (balled & burlaped trees) to create and more sustainable Christmas. I am a Landscape Designer and The company I work for delivered them. Some people are doing there part! :) If not at least bringing more public awareness to it. -Amy

I AGREE! in fact, a little surprised they didn't do this. if they can't get a towering living tree for next year, then they can do a bunch of little ones.
