Need some antique shells? bleached star fish? An enormous clam shell (are we still working this trend?.... Ya, I think I'm still in to it. ) a lovely triple milled soap or a venetian glass to stick your toothbrushes, a vintage tin toy telephone, vintage rusting garden furnishings.... you get the idea.
When I entered the store on Friday, I could hear voices of a shop clerk wrapping something up for a customer but could not see, for the stacks and stacks of cake stands, a single soul.
Making your way to the back of the store you squeeze your way through a narrow passage of stacked mirrors and vintage cupboards

into the back section which only yields more.
I guess there's an upstairs too. I've never found a staircase and on this day, my meter was running out, so I snapped a few photos and called it a day.
Bountiful is a bit of a crazy house of beautiful treasures. If you're in Venice Beach, you really should stop in. You'll be amazed if nothing else at the endless amounts of incredible vintage finds.

Makes me want to buy an airplane ticket!
(and I'm still into the shells as well! I think I always will be..)
I love it there. I bought a few too many cake stands. Couldn't decide.
This looks like a really good dream that I wouldn't want to wake up from! WOW! I love the floors too!
ciao from Newport Beach
Bountiful... is a beautiful place to space out.
I love to sneak up stairs and out back to check everything out.
There used to be a smaller one in Utah, that was just as much fun, but on a smaller scale.
Cheers!
Love to see shops like this, but hate when they are not near me. Wish Richmond, VA had some shops like that.
Love places like this....
ohhhh yeaaaa. it's perfect.
Hi,
I visited years ago and was told they
rent items for movie sets...........tried to find them in Utah last week, but came up dry. Thanks Megan
How funny -we explored this store before meeting you for lunch. Cute shop but SOOO many matches and cakestands! Who knew there was a business in that!
love that store but I'm always afraid I'm going to be a bull in a china shop – trip and domino the whole place down with one fell swoop!
I've heard of Bountiful, but had no idea of the literal translation! Bet you would have to feed the meter a good bit of coin for an afternoon browsing! It's a favorite shopping stop for Rachel Ashwell I recall reading some years ago?
Did you bring anything home?
