what's black and white and read all over.

I don't know where this photo originated, but it feels like SF on a good foggy, summer day. And I feel nostalgic.

Here's what you guys are reading this summer. Me? Well, I can talk a blue streak about Ashley and J.P. and those miserable Real Housewives, but I can barely seem to get past "Talk of the Town" every week in the NYkr. So I'm hoping this trip causes me pause to enjoy a few of the following:

That sign is awesome. As a future librarian, I find it fabulous that people are still willing to (1) read actual books and (2) put them out into the world and not necessarily make any money off of them.

Also, The Glass Castle is AMAZING. I've read others on your list, but that one stands out. Enjoy them all!
the beautiful and the damned is my favorite, love FSF!

Thank you so much for posting about books to be "read" as opposed to books that look "pretty" sitting on the coffee table. I'm sorry to offend the crowd that buy books simply for the aesthetic, I guess I'm a book snob, I read them. (though a pretty cover doesn't hurt)
Great choices by the way! "Glass Castle" is one of my favorites.

Have a Great Trip!
Look at your list, holy moly, thats fantatic. Enjoy your time off and your great reads. All my books are self improovement/motivational, busines or design books. I rarely read anything else so it's nice to see a fun list like yours.

I haven't read your blog in a long while, but when i saw this i just knew it was Wheeling W Va! it's a little bookstore ( i think Paradox Books) in the Center Market area of Wheeling - lots of quaint shops there, near to a Lebanese Bakery. yum!
