room to go---ashes and snow guest room

This was a room done for a bachelor who wanted his guest room to reflect his love of travel. I used the posters from the 'ashes and snow' photography exhibit as my inspiration. Aren't they amazing? if you don't' know about this, go right now and check the website. so beautiful. I really like the strong, graphic pattern and the great price tag on west elm's "overlapping squares" day bed. I needed a punch of color and so turned to yurdan.com to buy the ubek suzani throw. Never playing it safe with pattern, I ran out to anthropologie and loaded up on their own version of suzani pillows (a term for the type of embroidery on the textile). Oh and how target continues to amaze and impress! These lamps are a deep green crackle glaze and are really handsome, organic and a great size.
