magtable

someone had a little design bee in her bonnet when she got this idea. how clever...
the magazine/coffee table hybrid. no more stacks of tired looking covers and pages strewn all over your living space. and when you're not using it for a magazine rack you could dry homemade pasta on it. now, that's using your noodle! (come on now, how could i not?)
the magtable by umbra around $160.00

That is clever--though you would be constantly sweeping up those damn subscription cards. I swear I want to start lobbying for legislation against those things. Think about how much less litter there would be.

that's the first thing that i do when i get a magazine. in this order:
turn, pages facing down, and shake over a trashcan

flip through, wherever the pages fall open, rip out the offending piece of detritus.

and yes, i DETEST those damn things.
Perfect!!! I'm suprised somebody didn't come up with this sooner :)

Ok, a coupla things. Do I have to get all the pages straight and evened out to stuff the magazine back into the slot? Or do you have to put the magazine back in from underneath? I don't mean to be a spoil sport, I'm just sayin'.
Secondly, those mail-ins subscription cards are prepaid postage. If we all just put the suckers in the mailbox blank, do you think the magazines would just stop it?

you're probably so right. it would be a pain in the arse to hang them.

and btw, fab idea on sending back those damn cards. but that would require some effort wouldn't it?
hmmm.... It looks a bit like an old shutter... I'll bet I could make one for a lot less than Umbra can!
