is this really a better version of what was? (empress and her new clothes much?). i can't help but think that this room might smell a lot like stale cigarette smoke and georgio perfume.

I loves me some KW, but I cannot live with this design.
;-)
brilliant asylum - I totally laughed out loud at your Lee Press On Nails comment...SO TRUE!!
I have to ask, what's up with that tagline 'we can't live with your design'...?
glad you stopped by and I added you to my blogroll.

It seems to follow in the vein of a designer has a name, he/she must do good work. NO WAY on this one!
Megan - it looks even worse in isolation. I was looking back through the issue and the only bright spot is a screen with brass inlay. I feel like she and the magazine were secretly laughing as they put this together. I wonder if they noticed the silence?
Because if they're serious about that last issue? um. I need to tell them about this premonition I once had about a little magazine called 'Blueprint'.
i'm with you, SO over the starburst mirror.
I think that wallpaper was in my hospital delivery room. Anyone deliver at cpmc (SF) late 90s?

And thanks for bringing it up.
Methinks all the dg's (domino girls) be running out of steam.

Can you imagine walking barefoot in this room?
anon, I fixed the link. Thanks for being the voluntary beachbungalow8 I.T., for the day.
I'm afraid that ceiling light would cripple me in the middle of the night.. unless the wallpaper did me in first ;)
Bet there's a rusty old Camaro on concrete blocks in the yard, too.
And someone sitting in a broken lawnchair, wearing a tubetop screaming at the 11 kids to come and get a day-old donut and warm soda for breakfast.
