I'm not against 'plaid' in general. I, myself, recently bought a great plaid shirt at anthro.
My issue is with this tartan, wool in your home attempt. And I know it's a classic, it has its place. But these art directors need to pull back. because this is NOT working.
And sadly, when a lot of readers see this, they think, 'well, if it's in a valued magazine, then it must be right'
