right on, target

Target you so crazy. First you invite Michael Graves to design for you, followed by Isaac followed by every other Tom, Dick and Harry of the design world. Now you're making, dirt cheap, great looking, upholstered chairs? Good work by you.
I stumbled across these the other day looking for something completely unrelated and was really surprised.
These are all around $300.00. And honestly, my guess, they're probably the same quality as Pottery Barn. check this {above} pattern out. Thomas Paul. right? I'm not sure what's going on there, but compare it to the Thomas Paul pillow below and be the judge:
oh and god forbid, it's ikat. Some loftier types say it's no longer 'happening'. I say it's been around forever and will continue to be a great graphic and organic 'kick' to any space. And at this price, what's to lose. personally, I'm still waiting for the, Rose Cummings wallpaper line for Target. But I have hope.

Megan,
How on earth do you find these things? Is this your local target in Manhatten Beach? Or is this Target on line or what. Please don't tell me there is a secret Target just for those "in the know". This furniture is a great deal. I'm especially lovin those yellow chairs. Only thing is....uggh...the feet. I've always wondered how easy or hard it would be to change the feet on furniture. Let me know if you have one of your brilliant ideas on that.
Thanks for keeping us all up to speed. Lisa

These are so nice. I noticed them on the Taget web site a few weeks back. i jsut wish they had them in a Target near me. I find it difficult to buy a piece of furniture without sitting on it or touching it!

sweet finds! And all from Target!!!
Wow! I love these and the price is great. I totally agree with that you are probably comparable to Pottery Barn.

I don't care what others say, but I love the IKAT as well. I think it will be around foever. A total classic, yet a little boho chic.

So so cute!!
And for a little side chair, off in a corner or a bedroom somewhere, who cares if it's not the comfiest or the best made??? It's not going to get that kind of wear! ;-)
I love them. I may need one for my bedroom. Yes, I may.

And, I'm not sure about these legs, but some legs just screw into place, so replacing them is kind of easy.

That bench? J'die, over and over.
I love thesse chairs. I couldn't believe they were from Target when I first saw them on the site. I love the light blue circular one. It would go perfectly in my livingroom.
Stay chic!

Aren't these great? I was excited when I saw them on the Target site, too, and did a post on my blog pretty much the day after you and everyone else posted about them. {cue: me feeling like an idiot especially when the Wash Post suggested my blog on the same subject. Sheesh}

Glad to hear many opinions that ikat is hear to stay.

I love your blog. Thanks for all the hard work you put into it! Maybe in the future though you could cut a sister some slack and not be quite so timely in your 'breaking news' posts?? Apparently my official lag time is about 48 hours. :)
