grain power

The simplicity of this space creates a focus on the incredible wood grain used throughout.

that's my idea of heaven.

I'll take one of those please!
Wowee-zowee. That is one gorgeous home. I'd take that white and wood over my grody wainscoting any day.

Is this a thinly veiled attempt to keep me from painting my walls? Because it is working.

Simple easygoing streamlined family living. I normally love color but that's so peaceful and "cool"

Finally, something that is wood and clean and spare and yet totally rocks me. SO tired with all the images of white walls, distressed wood and chalkboard paint that's everywhere lately. This is NOT that.
this place is sooo my cup of tea, love it heaps

I've always found that referencing one design element throughout a program creates a subtle dynamic that the viewer can't quite put their finger on... one just feels good when seeing the space... cool post Megan!
Such a fun post! Love the images you selected.

I love this house. It is beautiful!

Any idea where the picture came from over the bed? I wonder if he took that himself... I want it!

That bedroom is so dreamy. It's spacious and bright, simple but still full of personal touches. Yum!

Love,
Jessie

I'm not sure where that art is from, Gina. It sort of looks like a photo to me.

Have you checked out alysia cotter's work? she's great and does wonderful beachy photos.

Beautiful minimalism--so peaceful.
love it and LOVE the chalkboard doors.

minimalism is not easy to achieve, either. Especially with kids. when done right, it's so soothing.
Now I want to paint everything white. Not that it would make my house look anything like this, but it would be a start.
