It's about hanging art - and hanging my self

warning: dis-inhibitor; let the skirted round table be thy name.
I really needed a filter on this one. And I apologize. I deserve not to be invited over to your next dinner party. I hang my head in shame.
In this installment of The Skirted Round Table, we discuss art in the home, how to hang it, what we like { and how I really feel about personal photos }
On the other hand!.....
Joni and Linda have some great tips. So, please, have a listen.
oh! and if you'd like to see my wedding photos, that I had noooo trouble sharing with the world.....they're right here.
have a blast. I'm packing my hot cheeks in ice right now.

Dear Megan, I did not have any problem with any of your comments...just looked a your fab wedding photos, loved every minute...
Funny, I was thinking of posting a wedding photo on my blog today (it is our 32nd wedding anniv. today) maybe I will do it, I will have to find them...there not on the coffee table for sure lol...all I ever got were the proofs (and my Dad and Uncle were the photographers that day, and took weddings for a living) so sad...but we are still married! OK I'm going to find a photo and post it...why not, as you said yesterday, new blogs do not have anyone looking at them anyway...
Regards, Carol Ann

What a beautiful wedding!! I'd never seen those before. Now I feel like I know you better. Which is not unlike why people put out personal photos in their home... just sayin'....

Megan... everyone is entitled to their own opinion! That's why all of our blogs look different, and why we talk about different things. I don't think anyone would take offense.

(Please don't come over and scold me for having my mother's wedding picture on my dresser though, or my gallery wall of pix from wales that are a little too high!)

omg - you crack me up. really. no one can leave out their wedding album because it offends you - yet we all had to see yours online. i can not quit laughing. at least Linda was kind enough to delete me being a total hypocrit ass about gallery walls. remember? someone should shoot us.

Hahaha! I have to agree to a cetain degree here. It's definitely a personal thing, but I just cannot handle the family prtrait above a fireplace....any fireplace. A gallery wall of photos framed well in a more private space,(say a hallway or a study) fine....and picture frames on tables, fine....but not above the firplace! Only exception....black and white artsy photos... candid shot....not posed. I better stop.

Loved the discussion..you sounded right-on! Totally agree about the family photos. When I see only family photos displayed around a home, my first thought is "do you have any other topics of interest?"
Which I know is rather judgemental, but ususally true.
All I can say is I just love you guys. No worries, debate is good!
Hee...Great wedding photos(the setting looked beautiful!)...must have been recent?

Then took a peak at your house...via apartment therapy (scrumptious BTW) and lo and behold sitting out in your living room are some adorable pics of kidlets. hmmm. Works for me!
