weekend retreats

Last Thursday night I attended a great summer evening event at the beautiful floral shop, 'Floral Art' in Venice Beach. The event was in honor of Susanna Salk's new book, "Weekend Retreats". To see more photos from the night, come on over to balustrade & bitters and check them out *here*

I went on over to B&B to see your photojournalism. I felt I was there, they conveyed the event so perfectly.
Then I looked at the previous posting and "decalcomania" caught my eye.
I was astounded to learn that it is a real word. We children teased our mother by calling her a "decalcomaniac" for sticking apples cut from can labels on the top row of kitchen tiles in our new house circa 1940.
